SECUTIX partners with Recite Me to improve accessibility to live events

By adding Recite Me features, the SECUTIX online ticket buying experience becomes barrier-free for those who find websites inaccessible.

SECUTIX further breaks down language and accessibility barriers to attend live events with the announcement of a partnership with Recite Me, the leading provider of website accessibility software.

It is estimated that one billion people globally have a disability, and they can often face challenges when visiting inaccessible websites to buy a ticket for an event.

To address the problem and make the online customer journey as inclusive and seamless as possible, making the ticket buying experience easy and satisfying, SECUTIX has chosen Recite Me as a partner. This will ensure inclusivity for its customers, facilitating accessibility for the end users, thanks to the assistive toolbar integrated into SECUTIX’ customers website.

Recite Me’s toolbar offers features for screen reading functionality, an on demand live translation feature tool that has over 100 languages including 65 text speech, multiple reading aids and customizable styling options. Recite Me saves single settings automatically, so the website appears exactly as each user needs to every time they visit.

The first data results from international SECUTIX customers after two months of implementation shows an average of 4.67 pages viewed per session, versus 2.8 pages industry average, with most customers using screen reader and translation features.

Every ticket buyer should have the same easy and quick experience when buying a ticket online”, said Sarah Maurel, Partner Manager at SECUTIX.  “Our role is to facilitate connections between event organisers and all their customers, no matter what their requirements are. This partnership will break the purchase barrier for people with disabilities plus offer better reach to international ticket buyers. Like us, ReciteMe is a cloud based, SaaS leading technology provider so we’re delighted to add them to our ecosystem of industry leading partners to deliver better solutions that meet our customers’ needs.”

The Hundred – the professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and eight women's teams across England and Wales, is partnering with SECUTIX and using Recite Me features: “The aim of The Hundred is to throw cricket’s doors open. We’ve been delighted to work with Recite Me to ensure we are truly inclusive to new fans buying tickets through the SECUTIX powered ticket shop,” said Alison Crowe, Director of Digital and Data at England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
