SECUTIX can announce the business has successfully completed its first International Standard on Assurance Engagement (ISAE) 3402 audit.
The ‘Type 1’ ISAE-3402 audit confirms that SECUTIX has defined a set of internal controls dedicated to minimising risk and that the business has implemented each of these controls at least once.
This will be followed by a ‘Type 2’ audit, a more advanced assurance that officially declares that SECUTIX has applied these risk controls systematically since the first initial audit was completed.
What is the ISAE-3402 audit?
The International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3402 audit — titled Assurance Reports on Controls at a Service Organisation — is an international assurance standard that describes Service Organisation Control (SOC) engagements.
The assurance intends to provide assurances to an organisation's customers that the business has adequate internal controls in place. ISAE 3402 was developed by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and published by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) in 2009.
An ISAE 3402 audit assurance including an audit report is regarded as a quality criterion for a business that distinguishes it from its competitors.
