BLACKPINK at the Stade de France

The K-pop group chose 100% digital and secure tickets for the group's only European stadium date this summer, as part of their world tour

To welcome BLACKPINK, ensure the security of their French fans and combat the black market, the Stade de France used the TIXNGO application

Paris, France, July 2023 - BLACKPINK performed at the Stade de France on 15 July 2023 as part of their "BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] ENCORE IN PARIS" world tour. At the concert, produced by AEG Presents France, almost 60,000 fans were treated to their favourite K-Pop group performing in the iconic arena for the only European stadium performance this summer as part of their world tour.

As with the Ed Sheeran concert last summer, the Stade de France chose the TIXNGO secure mobile ticketing solution from its technology partner SECUTIX. These fully digital tickets, secured by blockchain technology, generate a dynamic QR code just a few hours before the event, making it impossible to forge or capture on screen. The tickets are fully traceable, making it possible to track the purchasing history of every spectator in the stadium. They cannot be exchanged or sold outside the blockchain ecosystem.

Thanks to the implementation of a 100% digital, secure ticketing system accessible via a mobile application, BLACKPINK was able to offer its fans the best possible conditions for accessing the Stade de France.

The Stade de France could also use the STADEDEFRANCE Tickets application to communicate officially with ticket holders via notifications and emails.

In total, almost 60,000 mobile tickets were issued via the Stade de France application for the evening.

Arnaud Meersseman, Managing Director of AEG Presents France, said:

"For their only performance in a European stadium this summer, BLACKPINK wanted to offer their French and European fans an unforgettable experience and leave nothing to chance. The use of a secure, fair and 100% digital ticketing system contributed to the success of this unique and magical evening."

Marie Chalhoub, Director of Concert Programming and Ticketing at the Stade de France, explains:

"We are delighted to be able to offer BLACKPINK fans an ultra-secure ticketing service and a shield against the black market. Thanks to SECUTIX, we have created an optimised experience for the public from the moment they buy their tickets right through to the moment they enter the arena and the concert itself."

Christian Binelli, Director of Operations at SECUTIX, added:

"Our secure mobile wallet is incredibly effective in combating the black market and ensuring full traceability of tickets. Entry to the stadium went smoothly and peacefully thanks to mobile ticketing technology that is easy to control and use. We are delighted that our open solution is increasingly being used by the Stade de France to welcome international artists."

The TIXNGO application is an effective tool in the fight against ticket fraud and forgery because it exploits the encryption and security of blockchain technology. It creates a unique, encrypted and fully traceable ticket for each smartphone. The digital ticket also generates a dynamic QR code on the day of the concert, which changes frequently and cannot be captured on screen or sold beforehand.

TIXNGO also enables ticketing data to be analysed, tracing all ticket transfers in real time and detecting any suspicious behaviour by ticket holders that could be fraud. A ticket injected into the system can be cancelled at any time by the event organisers if necessary.

Other protection measures put in place by the Stade de France for the BLACKPINK concert include limiting the number of tickets purchased per transaction to 6 and limiting ticket transfers to three. Finally, tickets for these concerts could only be resold via the Stade de France's customer service department or official ticket resale platforms.

The TIXNGO solution was integrated into the Stade de France's digital ecosystem, with all tickets sold by BLACKPINK's main tour partners dispatched to ticket holders' phones within the Stade de France application.
