SECUTIX has announced a partnership with Lusail International Circuit (LIC), the host of this year’s FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS QATAR GRAND PRIX and MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar.
LIC is a newly revamped facility just outside Doha. With both on and off-road tracks, it will host an array of major motor racing events in coming years. As a result of SECUTIX’s partnership with LIC, the venue will see the use of SECUTIX’s advanced digital solutions to support and develop LIC’s diverse membership and ticketing programme.
SECUTIX’s S-360 will gradually bring all ticketing associated with the venue’s motorsport experiences, hospitality, corporate and community events, plus its membership scheme, under one cloud-based platform.
The company’s 3D mapping technology will give fans an immersive map of the circuit and the ability to experience the point of view before selecting a ticket.
There will also be a new LIC branded wallet, powered by SECUTIX’s secure mobile ticketing solution TIXNGO, which will deliver digital tickets in the first instance and then other digital assets to motorsport fans over time.
The first event using SECUTIX solutions will be October’s FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS QATAR GRAND PRIX, followed by the MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar in November.
Amro Al-Hamad, Executive Director of the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation and CEO of Lusail International Circuit, said:
“We appointed SECUTIX because we wanted a technology partner with significant experience in managing tickets for sports events. Working together, we will develop a strong digital platform to provide seamless services to our customers and enhance our fan experience.”
David Hornby, Managing Director of SECUTIX UK and Ireland, added:
“Qatar has a proven track record for delivering major events, and SECUTIX has been a key partner in supporting this. Our aim is to help enable the country’s sporting evolution possible with our people, technology and products. We are on track to deliver a successful first event in October for Lusail.”
